ABAII - under by Vietnam Blockchain Association - sets the goal of training and popularizing blockchain and AI for 1 million people by 2030, including 100,000 students at 30 universities. study across the country. 

 On April 24, 2024, within the framework of the 2nd Anniversary Celebration and the Annual Forum "Blockchain and AI: The next revolution", Vietnam Blockchain Association officially launched the Academy of Blockchain and AI Innovation ABAII with 7 members of the Management Board, 14 members of the Scientific Council who are PhDs, leading engineers in the field of Blockchain and AI and 5 members of the Executive Board in all 3 regions: North - Central - South.  

ABAII aims to train and popularize Blockchain and AI for 1 million people by 2030, including 100.000 students at 30 universities across the country through many specific activities. such as seminars, training, hackathon, ideathon, Unitour 2024 program for students or online legal projects to support legal advice for the large community. 

Mr. Dao Trung Thanh, Deputy Director of ABAII, said that by the end of April 2024, in less than 2 months, Unitour had been successfully organized at 5 universities, including: Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (Hutech), University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), Da Nang Architecture University (DAU), Banking Academy (BA) and Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) , brings a lot of useful knowledge about the applications of Blockchain & AI according to the needs and desires of each school such as digital economy and finance, banking data analysis, career opportunities,...

At the Launching Ceremony, ABAII awarded representatives of Foreign Trade University, Banking Academy, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Da Nang Architecture University, Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology, 50 scholarships to each school to gradually spread and promote the process of popularizing blockchain - AI. 

Attending the program, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang highly appreciated the efforts of the ABAII in particular and the VBA in general in the policy consultation process and promoting the popularization - blockchain and AI training. According to Mr. Giang, education is a fundamental and key factor that determines the development of a country. Therefore, the choice of the goal of popularizing blockchain and AI by VBA and ABAII is a correct and humane decision, clearly demonstrating the goal of sustainable development. “Even though in Vietnam, blockchain and AI technology is still new and has many challenges, I believe that with great determination, the Vietnam Blockchain Association and the ABAII will soon achieve this goal,” Deputy Minister Giang said. 

According to Science Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Huay, Former Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, Chairman of Vietnam Blockchain Association, Chairman of the Scientific Council of ABAII, "If Blockchain is the biggest opportunity we can think of in the last decade, In the next century, AI will be a remarkable advancement for humanity, helping to reshape the future in unimaginable ways. Therefore, the mission of ABAII is to explore, develop and combine the outstanding advantages of these two advanced technologies to promote the overall development of the country."

The Vietnam Blockchain Association's 2nd Anniversary Celebration and the Annual Forum "Blockchain and AI: The next revolution" were attended by more than 1,000 delegates representing state management agencies. such as the Government Cipher Committee, Ministry of Information and Communications, National Assembly Foreign Affairs Committee, Ministry of Science and Technology, Institute of Public Opinion - Central Propaganda Committee, Central Internal Affairs Committee, Central Party Office ,... and a large number of domestic and foreign business and VASP communities and nearly 100 press and TV agencies. 

Within the framework of the program, VBA organized the 4th discussion to contribute to building a legal framework for managing Virtual Assets (VA) and Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASP), announcing the program. Action to support Switch Up Accelerator's second season of capital raising for technology startups and share the panorama of the Vietnamese and global blockchain industry before and after the 4th Bitcoin halving, as well as opportunities and developments of Vietnam in the current new context.
